Comparison
Gazeta and other news apps.
Pick an app to compare.
It's also a good alternative to RSS readers like Feedly, Inoreader and Reeder if you don't want to build a feed list: in Gazeta, Brazilian sources already come organized by topic.
Sources
Where the news comes from.
From the outlets' own public RSS feeds. Gazeta doesn't edit, write or host news: it shows the headline and a short summary, always with the outlet's name, and opens the article on the original site.
Any outlet that prefers not to appear is removed as soon as it asks, by email at contato@appgazeta.com.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions.
Is Gazeta free?
Yes. Free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, login or password. You open it, pick your topics and sources, and the feed loads.
Does Gazeta collect my data?
There's no account, no tracking and no ads. Your name, ZIP code and what you read never go to a server of ours. The app only sends anonymous usage counts (how many people open the app, the digest or an article), without identifying anyone. Details in the privacy policy.
How do the digests work?
Three times a day, at the times you choose, the app picks the strongest headlines since the previous digest, prioritizing what got the most coverage across outlets, one per topic, without repeating what you've already read, and sends a notification with the top three. The digest also shows up as a card at the top of the feed until you open it.
Does it work on Android, iPad or Mac?
Available for iPhone with iOS 16 or later. On Android it's in testing: use the Play Store button to fill in the interest form and request access. On iPad and Mac it opens in compatibility mode.
Can I follow just my team?
Yes. In Football, choose "My team" and its news (from ge and local papers) gets highlighted.
What happens when I switch iPhones?
If the iCloud copy is on (it is by default), your profile, preferences and saved articles come back on their own. It's your iCloud, not a server of ours.
I work at an outlet and want it out of Gazeta.
Write to contato@appgazeta.com. The source is removed in the next update.
Who makes Gazeta?
An independent developer in Brazil, Natã Monteiro Reis. No media company behind it, no investors, no data sales.
